"Where did you find the food?" Han Li was taken aback for a moment before accepting the food.

Get up! Get up! Get up! ... ...

"Listen carefully." Han Li and the other person replied in unison

Doctor Mo was seated closely against the armchair, engrossed in a book in his hands, seemingly completely unaware of the arrival of the two individuals, nor did he hear their greetings

In the days that followed, Dr. Mo imparted some medical knowledge to them in the morning, and in the afternoon, he sent them to a study room to learn reading and writing alongside other children, as well as the foundational knowledge of martial arts, including the Twelve Regular Meridians, Eight Extraordinary Meridians, and the acupoints throughout the body. They also practiced stances and trained on straw dummies to develop basic skills.

Before Han Li went out, he couldn't help but take a glance at the book in Doctor Mo's hand. Unfortunately, he could not read, only knowing that the title consisted of three large black characters. It was a pity that they recognized him, but he did not recognize them.

A faint sound that seemed to come from the horizon startled Han Li awake from his deep slumber. As he opened his eyes, a large face was closely pressed in front of him, which shocked Han Li, causing him to instinctively shrink back. It was only then that he realized the owner of this terrifying face, which had scared people to death in the illustrations, was another child—Zhang Tie.

Near the valley, there is a large kitchen. I saw everyone getting their food, so I went to get a portion as well. After finishing, I realized you hadn't eaten yet, so I helped you get two steamed buns.

It was not until Han Li felt a bit numb in his feet from standing that Doctor Mo leisurely placed the book in his hand onto the nearby desk. He coldly scrutinized the two individuals before him, picked up a cup of tea, took a few small sips, and then slowly began to speak: "From this day forth, you two shall be my named disciples. I will teach you some knowledge about gathering herbs and refining medicine, and perhaps I will also teach you some medical skills to save lives. However, I will never teach you martial arts." Doctor Mo's expression remained unchanged as he set the tea back down in his hand.

Zhang Tie had no objections and followed Han Li into the room where Doctor Mo was located

"Hurry and eat something; after dinner, we need to meet Old Mo." Zhang Tie handed two steaming buns to Han Li

Doctor Mo was originally not a disciple of the Seven Mysteries Sect. Several years ago, when Sect Leader Wang was out, he unfortunately fell into an enemy trap and was attacked by adversaries, sustaining severe injuries and facing life-threatening danger, with those around him at a loss for what to do. It was at this critical moment that Doctor Mo, a skilled healer, happened to appear. With his miraculous medical skills, he cured Sect Leader Wang and saved his life. Naturally, Sect Leader Wang was immensely grateful to Doctor Mo. Later, upon discovering that in addition to his exceptional medical skills, Doctor Mo also possessed formidable martial arts, he invited him to join the sect. A suitable small valley was carefully selected in the mountains, and a residence was specially constructed for him, allowing Doctor Mo to settle comfortably in the Seven Mysteries Sect, thus becoming a venerated member of the Sect's Hall of Offerings. During his time in the Seven Mysteries Sect, although the disciples had not witnessed his martial prowess and were unaware of his strength, he saved many lives of the sect's disciples with his remarkable medical skills. Therefore, despite often appearing expressionless and speaking little, he earned the respect of the disciples within the sect.

A month later, Han Li and the other children finally parted ways, leaving no time to learn other things, because Doctor Mo began to teach the two of them a set of unnamed incantations. Practicing this set of incantations occupied most of their time. Doctor Mo strictly ordered them not to disclose the incantations to others; if leaked, they would face severe punishment and be expelled from the sect.

In the following days, Han Li was filled with excitement, as he had finally become a disciple of the Seven Mysteries Sect. Although he was merely an outer disciple, it was still better than being sent home like other children. Even if he failed the assessment in six months, he could still become an outer disciple like his third uncle. In Han Li's eyes, his third uncle was already a person of considerable status and standing, so he did not take the upcoming assessment to heart. In fact, he secretly hoped that he would not pass, as this would allow him to leave the mountain earlier and reunite with his parents and his beloved younger sister.

During this period, Han Li gained a relatively detailed understanding of the Seven Xuan Sect and Doctor Mo through the accounts of others. The Seven Xuan Sect has a main leader named Wang Lu, who is a direct descendant of the Seven Absolute Master, along with three other vice leaders. The sect is divided into the outer and inner gates. The outer gate consists of four sub-halls: the Flying Bird Hall, the Gathering Treasure Hall, the Four Seas Hall, and the Outer Blade Hall. The inner gate includes four sub-halls: the Hundred Forging Hall, the Seven Absolute Hall, the Offering Hall, and the Blood Blade Hall. Additionally, there is an Elder Council that operates alongside the main leader and the other vice leaders.

"It's nothing... It's nothing, I'm used to doing things at home. If I don't do something for a while, I always feel a bit... a bit uneasy. If you need any help in the future, just feel free to ask. I may not have much, but I still have some strength." Zhang Tie seemed a bit embarrassed, and his words came out somewhat stammering.

I have a set of principles for self-cultivation that I would like to teach you both. Although it may not enable you to defeat your enemies, it will certainly strengthen your bodies. If you truly wish to learn some martial arts, you may go to a few instructors to study; I will not oppose it. However, six months later, I will only assess your progress with this set of principles. If you do not meet the standards, you will be sent to the outer sect to become outer disciples. Do you both understand clearly?" Dr. Mo's tone suddenly became serious, indicating that he places great importance on this set of principles.

It is getting late; let us go meet Old Mo at https://m.hetushu.com. Han Li burped a few times, glanced at the setting sun outside the window, calculated the time in his mind, and felt it was time to see Doctor Mo

In Dr. Mo's room, along the walls, there are rows of bookshelves, filled with a dense array of various books.

"You two may go out; come back early tomorrow morning." Doctor Mo waved his hand at the two, signaling them to leave, and then picked up the book to read again

Thank you, Brother Zhang. Han Li felt a sense of gratitude in his heart, seeing that Zhang Tie appeared much more mature than himself, and he couldn't help but call out "Brother Zhang".

Stepping out of Doctor Mo's house, Han Li couldn't help but let out a gentle sigh of relief. For some reason, while inside, he had not dared to breathe a word, and his mind had been tightly wound. Now that he was outside, he immediately felt at ease and returned to his normal self

Both Han Li and the other person were still children. Seeing that Doctor Mo was ignoring them, they became at a loss, unsure of what to do, and could only stand aside and wait.

Han Li had not eaten breakfast or lunch, and was feeling quite hungry. He quickly devoured a couple of steamed buns, and in just a short while, two large buns were completely consumed.
